The short version

Do I need an account?
Only to buy credits, download licensed images, create images or use the API. Browsing and searching need no account. You must be at least 18 (§ 3).
Do credits expire?
Purchased and plan credits do not expire while your account exists. Signup and trial credits are free and one-time. If you close your account, remaining credits lapse (§ 4, § 12).
Can I get a refund?
A creation that fails after all retries is refunded automatically. A prompt the model declines under its usage policy keeps its charge; if you think it was declined in error, contact us and we will review it (§ 7). Apart from that, credits already credited are not refundable unless these Terms or the law say otherwise, and because you ask for immediate delivery, the 14-day right of withdrawal ends once they arrive (§ 4). For the first paid month after a trial, you can still withdraw within 14 days of the charge if you have not used that month’s plan credits (§ 5).
How does the plan trial work?
Only for accounts that have never had a plan or trial: 7 days with 500 trial credits, with a payment method collected at checkout. It becomes the paid plan when the trial ends unless you cancel before then (§ 5).
How do I cancel?
At any time: in the dashboard, in the Stripe customer portal, without signing in through “Cancel contracts here”, or by email. It takes effect at the end of the billing period and your credits stay in your balance (§ 5).
Are my creations public?
Yes. Every image you create joins the public catalog with a title and description taken from your prompt, but not your name. When another verified paying member downloads it, you can earn royalty credits (§ 9).
What can't I create?
Sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery or sexual content depicting a real person, deceptive deepfakes, content that infringes others’ rights, hateful or illegal content, fraud, and other people’s personal data in prompts. Each model also applies its provider’s usage policy. See the full list (§ 7).
Who is liable for what?
AI images come with no guarantee that they are unique or free of third-party rights, so check each one before use (§ 10). We are fully liable for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act and where we gave a guarantee; for slight negligence only for breach of essential obligations and typical foreseeable damage (§ 11).

1. Provider

Pix4Less (pix4less.com) is provided by Taha Yusuf Kömür (Pix4Less), Am Schäfersee 59, 13407 Berlin, Germany (“we”, “us”). Email: [email protected]. Full details are in our Impressum. The contract language is English.

2. Overview and scope

These Terms apply to the website pix4less.com, the studio for creating images, the image catalog, downloads and the developer API (together, the “Service”), for consumers and businesses alike. Where a rule applies only to consumers (§ 13 BGB) or only to businesses (§ 14 BGB), we say so. By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Commercial License Agreement, which governs how you may use licensed images. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. A business customer’s own terms do not apply unless we agree to them in writing.

Pix4Less operates on a shared-catalog model: participation in our Creator Royalty Program and public catalog contribution is an express, mandatory prerequisite for using our image generation and platform services (section 9). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. Accounts

  1. Browsing and searching need no account. Buying credits, downloading licensed images, generating images and using the API need one.
  2. You must be at least 18 years old and give a valid email address. Keep your password (or Google sign-in) secure. One person per account; accounts are not transferable.
  3. Verifying your email unlocks the one-time signup credits shown on the pricing page.
  4. API keys are secret. You are responsible for the use of your keys until you revoke them in the dashboard.
  5. Creating several accounts to collect free credits or royalties, sharing accounts, or getting around limits is not allowed.

4. Credits and billing

  1. What credits are. Searches through the API, image downloads (licenses) and image generation are paid in credits, at the number of credits shown on the pricing page at the time of use. Credits are a prepaid entitlement to use the Service. They are not money or e-money, cannot be paid out and cannot be transferred.
  2. Prices. Credits are purchased via Stripe in US dollars ($1 = 500 credits), within the minimum and maximum amounts shown in the dashboard. The prices shown are final prices; no taxes or fees are added at checkout.
  3. How the contract is made. The dashboard shows your order. The top-up or subscribe button takes you to Stripe Checkout, where the final button places a binding order. The contract is concluded when you complete payment.
  4. Immediate delivery and your right of withdrawal. Consumers normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Credits are delivered to your account right after payment, so before checkout we ask you to confirm: “I want my credits delivered immediately. I agree that delivery starts before the 14-day withdrawal period ends and I understand I lose my right of withdrawal once credits are credited to my account.” We store this confirmation with the terms version, time and checkout reference. Once the credits are credited, the right of withdrawal ends (§ 356(5) BGB). If you do not give this confirmation, you cannot complete the purchase.
  5. Refunds. Credits already credited are non-refundable, except where these Terms or the law say otherwise. If an on-demand generation request fails after all server retry attempts have been exhausted, the spent credits are automatically returned to your account balance. This does not apply when the image model declines your prompt under its usage policy (section 7): those credits are not returned. Your statutory warranty rights are not affected.
  6. Expiry. Purchased credits and subscription plan credits do not expire while your account exists.
  7. Signup and trial credits are free, one-time and have no cash value. We may limit or withdraw them in case of abuse. Downloads paid with unearned trial credits do not earn creator royalties.
  8. Price changes apply to future purchases and future use. Credits you already bought keep their credit amount.

5. Subscriptions and free trial

  1. Plans. Monthly plans include a monthly credit allowance and the perks shown in the dashboard. Prices are in US dollars per month.
  2. Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically every month and are charged through Stripe until cancelled. Plan credits are added for each paid period.
  3. Free trial. An account that has not had a subscription or trial before can start a 7-day free trial with 500 trial credits, once. A payment method is collected at checkout. When the trial ends, the subscription automatically becomes the paid plan and the first monthly fee is charged, unless you cancel before the trial ends. If no payment method is on file at the end of the trial, the subscription ends. You can end the trial early with “Activate full plan now”; you are then charged immediately.
  4. Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in the dashboard (“Cancel subscription”), in the Stripe customer portal, without signing in through “Cancel contracts here” at the bottom of every page, or by email to [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep your plan perks until then and all credits stay in your balance. You can undo a scheduled cancellation before it takes effect.
  5. Plan changes. An upgrade takes effect immediately: the prorated price difference is charged and credits are added in proportion to the amount paid. A downgrade takes effect at the next renewal.
  6. Withdrawal. Starting a subscription or trial requires the same confirmation as in section 4.4. For the first paid period after a trial, you may withdraw within 14 days of the first charge as long as you have not used any of that period’s plan credits.

6. Using the Service

  1. We provide search, previews, licensed downloads, image generation and the API as available. We may change features, models and limits where this is needed to keep the Service working, safe and legal, or to follow changes of our providers, as long as the change is reasonable for you. We will tell you about changes that noticeably affect paid features in advance.
  2. Rate limits, queue priorities and monthly creation limits apply as shown on the pricing page, in the dashboard and in the API documentation.
  3. You may use the API only with your own keys and as described in the API documentation.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use Pix4Less to create, request, upload or distribute:

  • sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises minors;
  • non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexual content depicting a real person;
  • deceptive deepfakes: realistic images of real, identifiable people that are presented as real or likely to be taken as real;
  • content that infringes intellectual property, personality or other rights (for example protected characters, logos, or copying a living artist’s work);
  • hateful, harassing, violent-extremist or otherwise illegal content, or content that incites violence;
  • content for fraud, impersonation, spam or disinformation;
  • other people’s personal data in prompts. Prompts and results are published in the catalog (section 9).

Every prompt is screened automatically before generation. Requests that appear to break these rules are rejected before any credits are charged.

Images are created by third-party models, and each model enforces its provider’s usage policy. You are responsible for keeping your prompts within the policy of the model you choose:

  • Pix4Less Standard and Google Gemini / Imagen models: Google Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy, Gemini API Additional Terms of Service
  • OpenAI models: OpenAI Usage Policies
  • xAI Grok models: xAI Acceptable Use Policy

If the model declines a prompt under its usage policy, the credits charged for that creation are not returned, because the request was processed and used the provider’s capacity. Other failures are refunded as described in section 4. If you believe a prompt was declined in error, contact us and we will review it.

8. Suspension, reports and complaints

We may remove content and restrict or suspend an account immediately if it seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms (especially section 7), abuses credits or royalties, or where the law requires it. We tell you the reason unless the law prevents it. You can report content you believe is illegal, and complain about a decision we made about your content or account, by email to [email protected]. We review reports and complaints promptly, by a person, and tell you the outcome.

9. Shared Catalog & Creator Royalty Program

Pix4Less is founded on the principle of community catalog reuse and creator rewards. By using our service—including generating images via our creative studio, batch workflows, or developer API—you accept and agree to the following terms as a prerequisite for service:

  • Shared Catalog Contribution: All images generated through Pix4Less automatically join our publicly searchable catalog upon completion. Any generated image can be indexed, discovered, viewed, and downloaded or licensed by other Pix4Less members and third parties under our Commercial License Agreement. A title and description derived from your prompt are published with the image; your name and account are not. We do not support private or unshared generation.
  • Default Royalty Program Acceptance: By default, every user accepts and is enrolled in the Pix4Less Creator Royalty Program. When another verified paying member downloads an image generated by your account, Pix4Less credits creator royalties directly to your account balance, refunding up to 25% of your initial generation credit cost.
  • Royalty Settlement & Anti-Abuse: Royalties are settled strictly as non-cash account credits and are subject to platform integrity checks. Self-downloads, wash transactions between coordinated or linked accounts, and downloads using unearned trial credits are strictly excluded. Both creator and downloader must have verified paid standing.
  • License Grant: You grant Pix4Less a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, index, and license all images generated through your account (and their prompt-derived titles and descriptions) to other users pursuant to our Commercial License Agreement. This covers whatever rights exist in these images; licenses we have already granted to others stay valid.
  • Your prompts: You confirm that you may use what you put into a prompt and that the prompt follows section 7.
  • Removal: You can ask us to remove an image you generated from the catalog by email. We remove it from search and new licensing; licenses already granted to others stay valid.

10. AI-generated content

  1. Images on Pix4Less are created with AI models from third-party providers and our own processing (for example upscaling), and are labelled as AI-generated.
  2. AI output can be inaccurate, can resemble existing works, people or brands, and can be similar to images others create. We do not guarantee that an image is unique, free of third-party rights or suitable for a particular purpose. Check each image and its license before use.
  3. Provenance markers (for example invisible watermarks) vary by model; we do not guarantee that every image carries one. You must not remove provenance markers or present AI images as real photographs in a misleading way.

11. Liability

  1. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee.
  2. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation (an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible and on which you may regularly rely), and only for the typical damage foreseeable when the contract was made.
  3. Otherwise our liability for slight negligence is excluded. Towards businesses, our liability under point 2 is limited per calendar year to the amount the business paid us in the twelve months before the damage occurred.
  4. We are not liable for how you or others use images outside the license.
  5. These limits also apply to our representatives and agents.

12. Ending the contract

  1. You can close your account at any time by email to [email protected]. Cancel an active subscription first (section 5.4). When the account is closed, remaining credits lapse.
  2. We may terminate for cause as described in section 8, and without cause with 30 days’ notice by email. If we terminate without cause, we refund your unused purchased credits at the price you paid.
  3. Payment and ledger records are kept for the periods required by tax law (see the Privacy Policy). Images already published and licenses already granted (section 9) remain.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms for good reason (for example new features, changes in the law or of our providers). We will email you the changes at least 30 days before they take effect and tell you about your right to object. If you object, the old Terms continue to apply until we or you end the contract; if we end it because of your objection, we refund your unused purchased credits at the price you paid. Changes to the main obligations (prices already paid, credits already bought) need your express consent. Every checkout records the terms version you accepted.

14. Governing law and disputes

  1. German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you habitually live.
  2. If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Berlin.
  3. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG).
  4. If a provision of these Terms is invalid, the rest remains effective and the statutory rules apply in its place.
